De Heus Firmly Affirms Its Strategic Position in Vietnam Through the Acquisition of Masan Feed Production

Ho Chi Minh City, 5 November 2021 – Following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between De Heus Vietnam and Masan on September 14, 2021 today De Heus Vietnam and Masan announced the signing of a strategic agreement under which De Heus will control 100% of the MNS Feed production business (including 100% ANCO and 75.2% Proconco).

The acquisition of MNS Feed’s feed production business, including 13 feed mills and 1 premix plant, with a total production capacity of nearly 4 million tons, strengthens the position of MNS Feed & De Heus in Southeast Asia’s largest feed market. In addition to the transfer of the feed business, De Heus and Masan also agreed to enter into long-term strategic sourcing agreements, including the long-term feed and pork supply agreement that De Heus will provide Masan.

This deal allows both De Heus and Masan to optimize and boost the productivity of the farm-to-table animal protein value chain under the 3F (Feed – Farm Food) model in Vietnam on the basis of promoting strengths and experiences of each side while supporting farmers and feed agents to develop sustainably together to focus on providing high-quality nutrition, breeding and farm management solutions to the Vietnamese market.
